Alumni Spotlight--May 2026
Fri. May. 1
The Zonta Club of the Corry Area is a quiet force with a powerful ripple effect—one that begins with dedicated local women and extends outward to touch lives across the community and beyond. Rooted in a global mission to build a better world for women and girls, Corry’s Zontians bring that vision to life through hands-on service, thoughtful advocacy, and a deep commitment to lifting others. Their work reflects both compassion and action, addressing real needs while creating opportunities for growth, safety, and education.
Many members of the Zonta Club are proud alumni of Corry High School, carrying forward a legacy of community pride into meaningful service. These women invest their time and energy into initiatives that strengthen the fabric of Corry—from supporting local organizations like the Corry Public Library, Safe Journey, and the 21st Century Girls Program, to organizing scholarships that help young women pursue higher education and future careers. Their efforts ensure that the next generation has not only resources, but also role models who demonstrate what it means to give back.
Zonta’s impact is both local and global. While they host educational events to raise awareness about issues such as domestic violence, human trafficking, and financial scams, they also extend their reach internationally by supporting programs that combat gender-based violence and improve women’s health and safety. Whether assembling birthing kits for women in developing countries or supporting fair-trade initiatives that empower women artisans, the members of the Corry club embody service without borders.
At its heart, the Zonta Club of the Corry Area is a testament to what happens when leadership, compassion, and community roots intertwine. For Corry High School alumni and community members alike, these women stand as shining examples of how dedication and service can create lasting, positive change—both close to home and across the world.
