About Us
In 1997, the Corry Area School District Foundation was established with a mission to enhance the total education process offered within the Corry Area School District. During the last 15 years, the Foundation has positively impacted the lives of students, faculty and the community.
Here are some of our accomplishments:
- We offer more than 10 scholarships with a net value of nearly $1 million.
- We helped restore the sound system in the high school auditorium and enabled student organizations to participate in programs and travel to national competitions.
- We kicked off a soccer program, establishing and running a junior varsity and varsity soccer program for three years before handing it off to the Corry Area School District.
Through the Foundation, the community and the school district are coming together in new ways – from a drive that encouraged residents to donate musical instruments for elementary students to a vocational program where students built homes in conjunction with an initiative to fight blight.
Each year, Corry Area School District teachers contribute more than $10,000 to local charities, organizations and needy individuals through the CASDF’s dress down days.
Most recently, the Foundation has joined forces with the Alumni Association – a huge network of former students with a 136-year history of continuous Alumni meetings. Each year more than 500 return to Corry to participate in the annual dinner.
